We welcome all, including newcomers!
Reinventing Ourselves: Creating a New Path for the Selves that We Have Become.
In our society, we are encouraged to define ourselves by what we do for a living, by where we have lived, by our place in our families (mother, sister, daughter), by the organizations for which we volunteer. These identities are real, they each reflect something important to us, something that has influenced us or which we have worked hard to achieve. But what if our outward trappings no longer match our inner selves?
There is a Midrash that the white spaces between the letters of the Torah are as filled with wisdom as the letters themselves. As Anne Brenner says in her wonderful book Mourning & Mitzvah, “(o)ur responsibility is to penetrate the wisdom of those spaces to live a life rich with meaning. Each of us must create our ownmidrashim, and in the process create our lives.”
Join us for a facilitated discussion led by Heitzi Epstein, on uncovering what path you want to pursue during this next part of your life.
