ROSH CHODESH SIVAN PROGRAM

WEDNESDAY, MAY 23, 7:30 PM
AT THE ADAS ISRAEL MIKVAH

Transitions in Water: The Mikvah Experience Unveiled
LED BY CANTOR HINDA EISEN LABOVITZ
2850 Quebec Street, NW, Washington, DC 20008

The Mikvah, a Jewish address for purity and spirituality, has been a millennia-long home to a mysterious, night-bound ritual.  In recent years, both women and men have re-claimed rituals connected to mikvah in daylight, and have expanded this powerful experience as a vehicle to mark transitions, life-cycle events, and emotional struggles, in addition to its traditional use as purification after menstrual impurity. Join us at the Adas Israel mikvah, the only Conservative mikvah in the D.C. area, to discover all this place has to offer in whatever stage you find yourself. Both women and men are encouraged to participate in the conversation. We will meet at the Mikvah. Since parking is limited at Adas Israel, carpooling is encouraged.
