On Tuesday, July 14, at 1:00 PM, Art Spitzer will lead the conversation about the impact of the Supreme Court’s decisions of June 2020. Arthur B. Spitzer was the Legal Director of the ACLU of the District of Columbia from April 1980 until April 2020, when he became Senior Counsel.

Talmud Class - Masechet Shabbat (via Zoom)

Instructor: Richard Friedman

This class focuses on the text of the Talmud -- what it says and how it says it. Discussions are lively, and range from legal details to the theology of commandments.  All questions are fair; no belief is assumed except that study of Torah is worthwhile.  Texts are in Hebrew/Aramaic and English.  Participants include people who have studied Talmud before and people who have not.

Enhancing Biblical Literacy

Join a "busload" of participants from Ohr Kodesh and experience biblical and modern Israel from the comfort of your own home. For one week, join us one hour a day for live touring of Israel. After a short break, log back in for dinner/cocktail hour to discuss our adventure of the day. Friday will feature a one hour pre Shabbat experience. All monies received by JNF will be given to the out of work tour guides.
