HAZAK: Lunch & Chat

October 26, 2020 - 11:30am - 1:00pm

he “Lunch and Chat” is a virtual version of Hazak's ongoing “Lunch and Learn” series which met monthly at OKC.  With our current situation we are trying Zoom to see if we can  successfully accomplish connecting to each other.  Our first session in June had a dozen on the screen.  It was an open ended session and featured catching up with each other.

Each session will be about 40 minutes.  Most will have presentations but a few will be open ended group discussions on scheduled topics.  Everyone is welcome.   But a one time email to Sandy Walter: SMWalter [at] mac [dot] com (SMWalter)smwalter [at] mac [dot] com (@mac.com) is necessary to get on the mailing list to receive a Zoom link

We hope you will be a part of our year ahead!! Let us know if you have program ideas and want to actively participate in Hazak. You may want to join the Hazak Advisory Group. There is a place for you at our table!

Let’s kick off fall with some mental health exercise and support from Tsila Abush Kirsh, Ph.D. Licensed Psychologist.   Zoom with us on October 26 at 11:30 am!  Tsila Kirsh leads the discussion focused on “Searching for Hope and Joy” the complex mix of Jewish/ Chasidic mysticism with psychology.

Dr. Kirsh was in full-time private practice for 17 years, offering clinical services to children, adolescents, adults, couples, and military families. Her current professional interests include service planning and delivery of Military Sexual Trauma Services at the DC Veterans Administration, traumatic stress, women’s issues, and problem solving therapies. Besides her work-related duties, Dr. Kirsh enjoys outdoor adventures, sports, people, theater, travel, and most importantly spending time with her family and friends. She is proudly married to OKC past President Brian Israel.

Dr. Kirsh was born in Israel and appreciates multicultural environments. She will bring her amazing background to our session.  Be sure to mark your calendar and join us!

We will look for you at our Zoom table!  As soon as possible we will transition to in-person Hazak programs but until then, stick with us on Zoom!  Once in-person sessions are possible, we hope to support our Hazak community with a Zoom option to be sure you can get to our sessions no matter your circumstances!
